CareGiving In Home Care in Bakersfied, CA is looking for personal care aide to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

*Provide assistance to Clients in day-to-day activities *Ensure Clients receive their proper medication in a timely manner *Communicate with medical professionals about the Client's health or issues that may arise *Prepare and administer meals in accordance with dietary needs

Must adhere to the client’s plan of care. Must follow agency’s policies & procedures. Report abuse, neglect, exploitation, etc. according to the agency’s guidelines. Must always use proper body mechanics. Ensure home care services are provided in a safe and professional manner. Use proper techniques when performing or assisting with Activities of Daily Living. Follow basic infection control procedures & universal precautions. Must report to work at a scheduled time & leave at the scheduled time. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Understand and respect clients’ rights and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.

o High school graduation or GED

o CPR & First Aid certified

o Current driver's license

o Shall have one-year full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, OR Shall have one-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency setting.

o Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.

o Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

o Attends a minimum of (5) initial training upon new employment.

o Attends a minimum of (5) hours of continuing education training annually.

o Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered work with this agency.

*Experience working as a caregiver or similar field *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain empathetic to patient needs *High attention to detail *Certifications that may apply

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00 - $15.50/hour.
