The South Florida Baptist Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Valrico, Florida (Bloomingdale Health Hub), offers a comprehensive range of treatment for people dealing with sports injuries, neurological conditions, orthopedic problems, speech disorders and other conditions that cause mobility limitations.

The Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy. Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Massage Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Fitness Specialists, Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant students and volunteers. Team members with temporary permits must work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist that has been licensed for a minimum of six months. A supervising licensed Physical Therapist may only supervise one permittee at any given time.


Qualifications:


Required Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PT (Physical Therapy)
  • Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain
  • Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary
  • And PT (Physical Therapy) within 6 months
  • Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification or APTA Pelvic Health Certification Preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's Physical Therapy (Required)
  • Master's Physical Therapy (Preferred)
  • Doctorate Physical Therapy (Preferred)

Experience:

  • 1 year Physical Therapist (Preferred)
  • Pelvic Floor Therapy Experience (Preferred)

Specific Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Computer skills appropriate to position
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a team
  • Ability to Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Organizational skills
