The Newton School in Strafford, Vermont and Sharon Elementary School have a need for a 1.0 physical education teacher. This position is shared between the two schools, which are located approximately 5 miles apart. This position will serve our K-8 (Newton) and K-6 (Sharon) school community. The ideal candidate is licensed in physical education and incorporates lessons of health and fitness into classroom activities.
Additionally the right candidate is organized and can balance the needs of two schools, is flexible with the use of space and has an interest in learning outside. They also possess the ability to work collaboratively, have strong communication skills and understand the individual needs of students. Classroom management skills and the ability to clearly communicate with staff, students and parents is essential.
