Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team. As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing payroll for our employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of employee earnings and deductions. This is a full-time remote, position and will report to the Director, People Operations & Communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws, labor laws, and wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee earnings and deductions, including vacation and sick time, overtime and bonuses.
  • Respond to employee inquires related to payroll.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as HR and Accounting, to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
  • Generate payroll reports as needed for management and other departments.
  • Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with these changes.

Requirements:

  • At least 7-10 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manager role
  • Multistate experience required.
  • UKG UltiPro experience required.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
