The RealPage Payroll Department is a small group committed to ensuring that every payroll we process is timely and accurate. We provide world-class customer service and support to all internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Payroll Clerk II provides support to the functions of the RealPage Payroll Department and contributes to the success of departmental projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the processing of all regular and supplemental payrolls; scanning & filing payroll-related documents; responding to internal and external customer inquiries via phone calls and/or emails; processing employee status changes; and maintaining the integrity of the payroll. This position reports to the Manager, Payroll.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the timesheet approval process for all US entities
  • Assist with processing functions for regular payrolls
  • Review & approve employee changes submitted through UKG Pro according to established practices
  • Monitor the Payroll and WhTaxPayroll email inboxes for inquiries from internal and external customers; respond to all inquiries timely and route them to the appropriate person for resolution as needed
  • Maintain written documentation regarding payroll procedures and processes necessary for reference and training materials
  • Sort & scan physical mail delivered to the Payroll department; route to the appropriate person for resolution as needed
  • Oversee the stale-dated payments in accordance with escheatment processes for all business entities
  • Submit monthly BLS reports to the Department of Labor
  • Facilitate distribution of pay checks via FedEx and prepares all documentation for audit purposes
  • Manage notifications of unapproved PTO by working with internal management for approvals
  • Process court ordered wage garnishments, including child support, student loans, tax levies, and bankruptcy orders
  • Process manual adjustments to correct errors in employee pay history
  • Complete weekly new hire reviews to confirm employee setup is accurate
  • Run system-generated reports and create new reports as needed to detect errors and discrepancies within payroll
  • Partner with 3rd party unemployment management vendor and UKG to ensure UI rate changes are properly recorded
  • Track tax agency refund checks and route them for processing
  • Track employee overpaid wage repayment checks and route them for processing
  • Partner with UKG to resolve payroll & payroll tax issues; including submitting cases through UKG’s Ultimate Community and tracking their resolution
  • Assist with month-end review & reconciliations
  • Assist with quarterly payrolls for special payments
  • Assist with integration of newly acquired entities in to RealPage processes
  • Maintain electronic payroll tax & garnishment files for tax jurisdictions and employees across 20+ entities
  • Provide supporting documentation for audit requests
  • Assist with the year-end process; perform year-end reconciliations, audit for missing account numbers, review employees claiming ‘Exempt’ on their W-4, etc
  • Contribute to team efforts to accomplish departmental projects

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year payroll experience or 3+ years office/clerical experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills, including effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multitask and manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines
  • Professional demeanor, dependable, and able to maintain confidential information
  • Flexible and able to successfully adapt to change
  • Flexible to work overtime as required

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 2+ years payroll experience or 5+ years office/clerical experience preferred
  • UKG Pro experience preferred
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
