Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

The Transporter will perform a variety of activities related to the transportation of patients, specimens and equipment. They will greet as well as assist patients, and visitors at hospital and clinics as directed.
The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Transport patients from their rooms to various locations
  • Retrieve proper equipment needed for transport of patients
  • Complete daily paperwork documenting activity
  • Maintain a safe, healthy working environment
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families by listening to them and showing compassion
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned
Qualifications:
What You’ll Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Physically able to transport patients by wheel chairs, stretchers and/or beds
  • Ability to work independently utilizing a beeper
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Heavy pulling, pushing and lifting are required (50lbs or more)
  • Good communication and Customer Service skills required
