Geneva Patient Engagement Specialists will provide support to patients who have a Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (pacemaker/defibrillator/pacemaker/loop recorder). The individual will provide patient education to patients with newly implantable devices and assist with manually transmitting data, technical support, and equipment set up. The Geneva Patient Engagement Specialist will also have direct contact with the Geneva Remote Care Clinical team, Cardiology Practices as well as the device manufactures.

You are responsible for

  • Enrolling and following up on all new device implants and patients
  • Providing education and explaining remote monitoring to patients with newly implanted devices
  • Assisting patients with equipment set up and initial download
  • Guiding patients over the phone to manually transmit data from their device
  • Engaging with missed and disconnected patients
  • Troubleshooting monitors/equipment and connectivity
  • Initiating three way calling with device manufacturer
  • Ordering new equipment and accessories
  • Directing patients to their cardiac practice with health issues
  • Updating device manufacturer portals with patient and device information

Ambulatory Monitoring & Diagnostics (AM&D) is part of the Philips Connected Care business cluster. Philips BioTelemetry is part of the AM&D business and provides remote cardiac monitoring services for more than one million patients per year. Philips acquired BioTelemetry in early 2021. The combination of Philips and BioTelemetry results in a global leader in patient care management solutions for the hospital and the home, a leading U.S.-based provider of remote cardiac diagnostics and monitoring.

Consists of members of the Geneva Patient Engagement team and directly reports to the Patient Engagement Supervisor.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • 1+ years’ of call center or product support experience
  • Ability to have direct ethernet connectivity at workstation, with a speed requirement of 45+Mbps down and 2+Mbps up. Exceptions to this for specific positions within the Company must be presented for approval prior to employment
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast paced, and dynamic call center environment
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement when dealing with ambiguous and challenging situations
  • Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, Quick Base, navigate internet, work in cloud-based environment
  • Experience communicating to patients in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Cardiology/device clinic experience (preferred)
  • Cardiac medical device technical support experience (preferred)
  • Comfortable with a training schedule of Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:30pm EST or 10:30-7pm CST for 3 weeks
  • Comfortable with a work schedule of Monday-Friday 11:30am-8:00pm EST or 10:30-7pmCST
