PATIENT ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST (68G)

Overview

As a Patient Administration Specialist, you'll be entrusted with serving the military community and their Families and providing essential support to the clinical staff of a hospital. You’ll perform administrative duties for patients, and you’ll utilize your knowledge of medical terms and statistical reports to manage medical records and keep track of patient health.

Training

Job training for a Patient Admin Specialist is a total of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training in Oklahoma and 8 weeks on the job training at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Contract Terms

Army Reserve enlistment contracts range from 2 to 6 years. You’re obligated to work 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks of annual training, for a total of 38 days. You’ll be assigned to the Arlington Heights Reserve Center for month training.
