Avalanche Care is seeking a PART-TIME Home Care Marketing Representative who will be responsible for generating new business by developing and implementing marketing strategies, identifying and pursuing new referral sources, and building strong relationships with existing referral sources. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, results-driven, and have a passion for home care and helping people.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new referral sources, such as Adult Day Care Centers, DME Provider offices, Caregiver Resource Centers, specialty provider offices, HHC Long Term Care Facilities, etc.
  • Educate and enroll Medicaid eligible consumers to in network Managed Long Term Care providers
  • Remain knowledgeable of services available and utilized by Medicaid consumers eligible for MLTC
  • Provide education on Managed Long Term Care features and benefits to consumers, providers, and business partners.
  • Conduct presentations to Social Adult Day Cares, physicians, support groups, caregiver trainings, etc. as well as conduct home visits, and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process.
  • Work closely with Outreach Representatives, Member Service Representatives, Eligibility Representatives, Utilization Management, and other personnel to resolve member concerns regarding complaints and potential enrollment or disenrollment.
  • Establish and sustain beneficial relationships with Social Adult Day Care programs, caregivers, medical specialist (Occupational/Physical/Speech/Rehabilitation Therapist), Home Health Aides, Mental Health and Substance Abuse providers, social workers, discharge planners and other providers that work with Medicaid Long Term Care patients.
  • Recognize and implement new marketing opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with provider organizations and community organizations where marketing activities are conducted.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Excellent verbal, and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and goal directed
  • Must be able to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment
  • Must be sensitive to chronic conditions and disabilities
  • Bilingual and Multilingual a plus
  • Must be self-confident, independent thinker and maintain a professional presentation of self
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Prior healthcare marketing experience preferred
