STARKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE JAIL DIVISION IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF A PART TIME JAIL OFFICER.
REQUIREMENTS:
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE/OR GED EQUIVALENT
VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
WILLING TO SUBMIT TO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK
WILLING TO SUBMIT TO DRUG SCREEN
ABLE TO INTERACT WITH PRISONERS ON A DAILY BASIS
ABLE TO LEARN COMPUTER PROGRAMS REQUIRED FOR DAILY OPERATIONS OF COUNTY JAIL ABLE TO WRITE AND EXPLAIN ONE SELF IN A WRITTEN REPORT
PREFERENCES:
PRIOR BACKGROUND WORK IN CORRECTIONS OR SCHOOLING IN JAIL ENFORCEMENT
STARKE COUNTY SHERIFF WILL BE TAKING APPLICATIONS UNTIL POSITIONS IS FILLED.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.79 - $15.43 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Knox, IN 46534: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
