Orthopaedic Technician - Concord Orthopaedics $4,000 Sign On Bonus

Starting Salary: $23/hour commensurate with experience

$4,000 New Hire Sign on Bonus (payable quarterly, starting after 90 days of successful employment) extended through August 31st, 2023.

Full time position - 1 opening

Job Responsibilities

• Act as a patient liaison during office visit, assess reason for visit, answer questions, obtain vital signs, medication and clinical history intake
• Assist physicians as needed before, during and after each patient encounter including: Suture, staple, dressing, cast removal
• Fit patient with durable medical equipment as directed by physician
• Draw up injections as ordered by physician
• Supports the provider with patient examinations and procedures to ensure optimal patient care. Includes entering of patient vitals, medication and clinical history intake
• Assists the front office staff with patient scheduling, patient callbacks, organizing patient charts, coordinating patient referrals, and securing appropriate insurance approvals
• Perform daily administrative duties of the practice including greeting/check in/check out, scheduling patients, organizing patient charts, ensure completion of superbill, including physician charges and diagnosis

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Previous medical office experience preferred
• Graduate of an Orthopaedic Technician program preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations.
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Excellent communication, telephone and computer skills

Physical Requirements:

Position requires moderate to frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting, moderate keyboarding, moderate clerical work at sitting workstation, walking, and moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires ability to help in transfer of patients to exam table.

Starting salary: $23.00/hour
