As an Optical Imaging Clerk you will provide timely and accurate input of documents into the optical scanning system. - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Provides the various areas of the Business Office with an efficient document retrieval system to be utilized to provide back-up for claims, legal cases, financial documents for payment or storage which conforms to all federal, state, and local requirements for document retention compliance.
- Upload Electronic Remits (835), Explanation of Benefits, UB, 1500, or any document needing to be in the Onbase application on daily basis or as requested by management.
- Scan Explanation of Benefits, refunds, correspondence, charity applications and applicable documents to EDM for retrieval by the staff, management or auditors.
- Matches corresponding paperwork to accounts based on the MRN (Medical Record Number or HAR (Account number).
- Knowledgeable in the proper methods to access information. Utilized all methods to obtain accurate documentation.
- Assist with posting manual insurance payments into HIS system.
- Indexing each day the OnBase guarantor payment files and correspondence received.
- Assist the department with reviewing the Clearing Accounts which include but not limited to contacting insurance companies to obtain information needed for posting to the appropriate account in the HIS system.
- Other duties as assigned.
