West Penn Heavy Haul, LLC has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager in Shelocta, PA.
The Operations Manager will oversee all day – to – day operations of various departments. This oversight requires strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and management of department
- Achieve a zero-incident workplace by enforcing and following corporate safety requirements
- Meet profitability goals
- Manage the department budget
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of jobs
- Oversee the purchase, sale, and maintenance of equipment, trucks, and trailers
- Review and approval of all billings
- Review and approval of all purchase orders
- Oversight of all electronic log and GPS activity
- Monitor equipment utilization and employee retention
- Prepare annual regulatory filings
- Bid and manage jobs
- Provide clear direction and hold people accountable
- Hold effective weekly meetings with management team
- Strong customer service mindset
- Must possess strong communication and leadership skills
- Effective business development activities
- Implement tactical solutions to drive process improvement
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to direct multiple tasks with limited supervision
- Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities and adhere to tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years management and logistics experience required
- Proven track record of effective supervision
