ConMet's Vancouver Machining Facility is looking for a Manufacturing Plant Operations Manager to join our team. Our Vancouver Machining Facility is home to our casting division's highly automated CNC machining operations. You would manage a team of employees to set production goals to meet customer orders and provide strategic leadership to empower employees to achieve production goals.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
  • Control the efficient use of human resources, machinery, and other resources to meet and exceed production standards.
  • Interface with other departments in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product.
  • Provide verification of daily production and attendance records through daily reports.
  • Conduct production and safety meetings and provides training, guidance, and leadership, as needed, for all shift personnel.
  • Direct employees in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet quality standards.
  • Ensure that all shift personnel comply with company policies and safety procedures equipment.
  • Review and analyze production systems and reports to ensure that production and quality guidelines are met.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor production equipment and reports failures to maintenance personnel.
  • Work with other departments to establish production standards for new products.
  • Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and how each contributes to achieving quality objectives.
  • Prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Wages

Salary range for this role is $95,000-$140,000.

General Description of Other Compensation: ConMet provides a monthly wellness credit for up to $50 for eligible gym or fitness related expenses. Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet/Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). Annual bonuses, if company financial targets are achieved. Tuition reimbursement program.
