A large IPP is looking for a Solar Operations and Maintenance Technician II to help perform operations and maintenance activities within a defined facility or set of facilities.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in electrical maintenance on photovoltaic systems or industrial equipment.

You will:

  • Be responsible for planning performance of electrical tasks within DC, AC, and MV systems on a utility scale solar facility.
  • Perform basic electrical testing and repairs using industry standard practices.

The Job

  • Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance and repair work on substations, UPS, battery back-ups, and SCADA systems.
  • Perform testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other equipment as needed.
  • Assist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis and serial defect reports.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and mentoring to junior O&M Technicians in electrical systems and safety.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOP's.

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience working in electrical maintenance including apprenticeships.
  • OSHA 10 required
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E and OSHA standards.
  • State electrical license or NABCEP certification preferred.
  • Experience with MV/HV systems, SCADA systems, Inverters, T&D systems, Substations, or other specialized electrical system especially with solar systems is highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
