About the Opportunity
Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of an OGS Advisor, the OGS Support Staff will provide processing support in the Office of Global Services (OGS). The Support Staff will complete the initial screening and review of applications for all services and benefits requested by international students on F and J visas such as but not limited to, employment benefits, travel endorsements, and I-20/DS-2019 requests. This role will also be responsible for routing workflow to the appropriate OGS staff and answering student inquires.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to international education, social sciences, or humanities, with 1-2 years professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of or training in international student advising (F-1 and J-1 visa classifications) or some experience in international education.
  • Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a demanding work environment.
  • The candidate should possess thorough knowledge of office procedures, good judgment, discretion, and patience.
  • Familiar with and comfortable working with computer database systems and PC-based network environment.
