Recco Home Care Service, Inc., a NYS Licensed Home Care Agency, is seeking an EXPERIENCED Office Support HR Assistant to aid support to our busy Islandia office. Ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills, excellent written and verbal skills, good eye for detail, be a team player and get along well with others.

Individual will be responsible for assisting HR department with the recruiting of caregivers, on-boarding of new caregivers and ensuring all documentation is in compliance with local, state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively assists in recruiting of caregivers.
  • Answers telephone calls and inquiries regarding positions available, setting up interviews/orientations and other HR related questions.
  • Prepares all required on-boarding documents needed.
  • Conducts orientations of caregivers.
  • Assures accurate completion of all required hiring documents timely per agency policy.
  • Manages and assures security of the personnel files from hire to termination.
  • Tracks all required monthly in-services, supervisions, evaluations, disciplinary actions and required health data.
  • Communicates effectively with the Agency Manager and Coordinating department when employee issues surface.
  • Assists the Agency Manager in preparing for audits or surveys.
  • Maintains personnel files and the HR department “survey ready” at all times.
  • Re-enforces HIPAA compliance with field staff and office personnel.
  • Assists Coordinating department as needed.

Ideal candidate will have experience with the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance program (CDPAP) and HHA Exchange computer system for home health care.

Candidate must have strong computer skills, be able to problem solve and spot discrepancies, have verbal and written communication skills and be able to handle a fast paced environment and meet deadlines. Must be professional at all times in the office and on the phone. Must be able to multi-task, and have a great attitude & excellent customer service skills.

Direct knowledge and experience of Human Resources and onboarding is essential. Strong communication and computer skills a must.

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
