Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist

The Johns Hopkins Health System is looking for Nurse Educators to join their growing team! As a Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist (NPPDS), you would be servicing Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, as well as, The Johns Hopkins Hospital East Baltimore Campus. In this role, you would be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and activities in support of our SOARING Program, our program that prepares certified nursing assistants to practice in an advanced direct patient care role. Graduates of the SOARING program provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the helath care team.

The ideal candidate will have acute care experience in an academic hospital and experience in precepting, mentorship, and nursing education.

Who Should Apply:
Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland
Active BLS CPR certification
5 years of nursing experience. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
