Occupational Health/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner needed for a part-time, 16 hrs/wk contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Arden Hills, MN.

This is an occupational health clinic that offers Occupational, Primary, and Preventative Care for employees of a large corporation plus their families. Small one person clinic where the provider is accountable for all aspects (ie front and back office duties). Shifts are Tuesdays & Wednesdays 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in state of Minnesota
• Must be able to work independently without a collaborating physician
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a NP in an Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, or Primary Care type setting required
• A comprehensive understanding of outpatient adult medicine, patient care procedures, medical protocols, and testing procedures

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Treat minor work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses for employees onsite
• Perform onsite physical assessments (routine, pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, school/camp, etc)
• Blood draws and immunizations
• Dispense over the counter and prescription medications in accordance with pre-established standing orders to employees with minor work-related and non-work related concerns (back pain, headache, pharyngitis, etc)
• Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
• Provide onsite patient education regarding illnesses, medications, treatments, etc.
• Scanning, scheduling, and wellness event planning
• Respond to emergencies on the campus if needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Ability to work Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 7:30am to 4:00pm ongoing until further notice
• Computer skills required
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employers
