Responsible for assisting the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN. Must complete Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit. Requires completion of BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire.

The 6–8-week program includes classroom education & hands on clinical experience and while working in the Nurse Helper role. Classroom locations in Tampa or Clearwater. Upon successful completion of the program, team members promote into a Patient Care Technician (PCT) position within BayCare. More program details available during the interview process.
