The National Sales Executives (NAE's) are responsible for developing business relationships with FleetNet's largest target customers that allows the NAE to work inside the customer's business as partners. The NAE's performance will be measured not only by service fee growth at FleetNet but how well the NAE helps improve our customers' business results.

Responsibilities/Key Success Factors


  • Deliver targeted service fee growth (relative weight 60%)

    FleetNet's National Account Executives will consistently deliver sales growth targets through a combination of opening up new customers, developing new opportunities with current customers, and retaining the existing customer base. Measurement of Success - Service fee growth for assigned area (Sales Analysis Tool)
  • Build long term business partnerships with targeted customers (relative weight 25%)

    NAE's will develop business partnerships with their target customers, by becoming the "Trusted Advisor" and Subject Matter Expert within the assigned verticals. The focus is to help mid-level and senior decision makers improve their business results using FleetNet's services. Measurement of Success - Number of new opportunities sold to current customers; Improvement in key customer norms.
  • Provide customer insights to help shape and guide FleetNet's strategy development (relative weight 15%). By developing an "inside view" of our customers' business, FleetNet's NAE's will provide Marketing and senior management with insights to customer operations that FleetNet can help improve. Measurement of Success - Management assessment of information provided.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field

  • Travel within an assigned sales territory will be required.

  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.

  • Act Strategically - Understands the customers' vision, goals, and strategies; aligns strategic priorities of customer with solutions available from the company. Knows strengths and weaknesses of won company's competitors and those of their customer.
  • Drive For Results- Sets challenging goals and puts a top priority on getting results; conveys sense of urgency and drives issues to closure; persists in the face of obstacles; demonstrates initiative and sets high personal standards of performance; maintains a consistent, high level of productivity.
  • Build Relationships- Relates to others in an open, friendly, accepting and respectful manner; uses formal and informal networks to get things done; builds and maintains appropriate contacts and networks with people in the industry.
