This role will require travel from our Western division facilities, based in Winsted, MN. People living in surrounding areas like Glencoe, Howard Lake, Lester Prairie, Norwood Young America, Watertown and Waverly are welcome to apply!


This CNA educator position is Monday to Friday with no weekends or holidays!

The Long Term Care Nursing Assistant Educator is responsible to plan, teach, evaluate, and maintain records for the Nursing Assistant Training Program classes which prepare Nursing Assistants for AVTI testing for Long Term Care Certification. The Long Term Care Nursing Assistant Educator promotes quality care through the development of knowledge, skills and attitude of staff.


DUTIES

Instruct students according to objectives and curriculum approved by the Minnesota Department of Health in preparation for Long Term Care Certification

To Complete and Maintain Appropriate Records and Equipment for the Training Program Classes


QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a current RN license in Minnesota; at least 2 years of licensed nursing experience, can include LPN; at least 1 year of licensed nursing experience in the provision of long-term care facility services; and must have or acquire Certificate of Completion of Train the Trainer course through the Minneapolis Community and Technical College during course of employment. Must have an interest in and desire to teach non-professional personnel, is flexible with working hours, and possesses the ability to work independently. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Must have current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
