Mobile technicians are skilled professionals who are Capfleet representatives while on the road supporting customer requirements. Mobile technicians identify, and repair issues related to upfit parts and equipment. Capfleet Mobile technicians are senior technicians that are experts in their trade. Mobile technicians are responsible for the installation of toolboxes, bed inserts, brush guards, lights, electronic equipment and/or other vehicle parts. Tasks include the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, custom bed inserts, toolboxes, brush guards, as well as two-way mobile radios, antennas, computers/tablets, wireless modems, cameras, on fleet trucks. When not deployed supporting external customers, mobile technicians are working in a Capfleet facility supporting Capfleet production schedules. While working in Capfleet facility, the Mobile Technician can earn flag hour pay supporting production operations.

Job Qualifications:

  • Install aftermarket equipment including but not limited to: electronics, lights, sirens, switches, accessory equipment, radios, computers, scene lighting, tool mounting, in-car cameras, and other customer-specified equipment.
  • Install, repair and troubleshoot 12 volt electrical systems.
  • Use hand tools to complete equipment installation.
  • Install equipment according to work order and drawings.
  • Assist with maintaining all shop equipment.
  • Complete work orders and timecards in a timely fashion.
  • Work collaboratively within the company to advance values of teamwork, innovation, customer service, professional development and meeting challenges.
  • Develop respectful and cooperative relationships with co-workers, including a willingness to assist where needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties within the scope of this job classification as assigned.
  • Able to respond to an external customer within 24 hours of notification.

Job Qualifications:

  • Vehicle Upfitting: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Be a constructive team player and possess and exhibit a positive attitude
  • Be detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship
  • Be comfortable in an exciting fast-paced environment.
