The Peraton facility located in Princess Anne, Maryland is actively seeking a Mission Manger to join the highly competent Princess Anne Engineering team delivering world class solutions to a variety of DOD institutions.

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Coordinate with team members to develop, review, and manage project schedules for assigned projects.
  • Develop Mission Requirements Matrix including stated, implied, and derived requirements from the customer.
  • Perform Interface Control to ensure that all applicable payload and launch vehicle interfaces are adequately assessed to verify that flight and GSE systems, subsystems, and components usage outside the flight experience envelope is identified and adequately assessed
  • Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Lead multi-disciplinary team through all mission milestones
  • Lead and participate in factory and field system level integration and test of suborbital vehicles.
  • Participate in launch operations for suborbital rockets.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks throughout project life cycle
  • Coordinate and communicate program requirements to procurement and manufacturing
  • Develop weekly and monthly program reports and/or presentations for both internal and external review
  • Coordinate with finance and business team members to track charging and funding for assigned projects to identify resource shortfalls in a timely manner
  • Interface with, report to, and present to both internal management and customer representatives.
  • Ensure program team is closing action items on a timely basis.
  • Ability to travel for 2-6 weeks at a time, one or more times per year. Occasional shorter duration travel also required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information accurately and clearly
  • Adaptability and Flexibility. Mission dates change frequently.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Preferably in an Engineering discipline, but a non-Engineering degree with a core science/engineering curriculum is acceptable.
  • Eight years’ experience working in a professional environment with leadership experience
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience with schedule management, risk management, and performance management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with or leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with sub-orbital rockets
  • Integration, test, and/or evaluation experience with aerospace systems
