Systems Engineer BI - Tableau Admin, performs the following:
  • Provides technical leadership to Enterprise BI Infrastructure team members on technologies like Tableau, SAP-BI,.
  • Works closely with other teams in the IT Enterprise Systems organization to ensure the delivery of effective and highly available infrastructure to meet agreed upon SLA
  • Creates system integration approach & design in support of BI needs of the Enterprise
  • Architect, Build, Maintain and support multiple versions of BI enterprise Infrastructures
  • Performs Product Administrative Functions.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 43.27
Maximum: 86.54

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of overall technical experience in Reporting tools platforms, preferably including experience with the Tableau BI platform and experience with Relational Databases like Aster, Hadoop, Teradata, DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server
2+ years Tableau Administration experience

Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of overall technical experience in Tableau development or Administration (both preferred).
1.Tableau Administrator who has experience developing in and administering Tableau Server 10.x, 2019.x, 2021.x and later versions on Windows and LINUX platforms.
2.Has Experience in creating and managing Tableau sites.
3.Has experience in building Data warehouse applications using SAP-BI as reporting environment on Terabytes sized Data warehouses.
4.Has experience scripting using TabCMD and TABADMIN.
5.Has experience in Performance tuning working with custom admin views and performance recorder.
6.Manages platform admin functionalities including Installations/ Configuration , Upgrades, Patches, Change management, Performance tuning, Standards/ Best Practices, Mentoring, Metadata Management, Cluster/Distributed Management, Cache/ History Management,
User Management, Scheduling.
7.Has Job Scheduling experience. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata Databases. Good knowledge of SQL and Windows Scripting. Strong Windows skills and LINUX platforms.

  • This position requires a motivated Individual who can work in a large scale high pressure environment with multiple teams. The individual should be a team player who has the drive to work in an Administrator/Production Support role.
  • This role requires various capabilities that necessitates working with application development, architecture, technology and vendor teams on a variety of applications and initiatives.
  • This role requires an individual who can learn and adapt to a rapidly changing technology environment.
  • This individual must be able to be independent in performing research to recommend and find solutions to identified issues or technical challenges.
  • Provide technical support of Middleware technologies by performing various tasks, including installation and configuration of new environments (e.g., development, QA and production).
  • Manage patches and upgrades, configuring, tuning and monitoring.
  • Support BI infrastructures working with Technology groups and Vendor partners
  • Establish enterprise standards and train end users on successful use of the platform.
  • Must have superior troubleshooting skills to resolve support issues in a timely manner as defined in SLA’s.

Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
