DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


On-site BNSF customer support liaison at JB Hunt in Lowell, AR.

  • Participate in meetings with the JB Hunt Intermodal team and provide a daily overview of BNSF Railway operations.
  • Utilize various data sources to identify root causes of service exceptions, provide supporting analysis, and present solutions to BNSF leaders, internal stakeholders, and the customer.
  • Provide feedback in the development and design of service plans, business processes and system enhancements to improve efficiency and the customer experience.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with Customer Support team members, Operations and Sales to address systemic and tactical service issues and improve BNSF's value-added propositions with the customer.
  • Coordinate workflows and effectively manage time to correspond to the customer's business needs.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in customer meetings providing a tailored network operations overview.
  • Travel to BNSF corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, TX, and occasional customer trips are required.
  • Occasional weekend duty for escalated JB Hunt issues/resolution.

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum two years' experience in Business Unit Operations, Customer Support, Intermodal operations, Logistics or Transportation.
  • Knowledge of BNSF’s operating network.
  • Strong leadership, effective interpersonal and customer service skills (empathetic listening, rapport building and gaining buy-in)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in TSS, BNSF web tools and other desktop applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Self-directed and well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong customer advocate: 100% customer interface with the JB Hunt intermodal team.
  • Ability to handle multiple high-impact situations and troubleshoot to minimize system and application issues.
