Pay Rate: 18.26/hr
$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS
  • Bonus is for full time employees and paid in 3 increments 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.
The Mental Health Worker is a member of a multidisciplinary team. The Mental Health Worker serves as co-team leader and is responsible for providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, including day, evening, and/or weekend hours.

  • Intake and ongoing regulatory assessments

  • Collaborates with Mental Health Professional on client and family needs/concerns.

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology, or anthropology or any bachelor’s degree in human services; OR
  • Have 12 college level semester hours in humanities or social services and be enrolled for certification by; OR
  • Registered Nurse and be enrolled for certification by OMH, the Pennsylvania Certification Board as a mental health family-based worker.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of one years’ experience in a CASSP System Program.

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders. Ensures stakeholder satisfaction with the company by maintaining proactive, responsive communication. Maintains regular, proactive communication with key stakeholder groups, and builds new relationships as needed to further the company’s mission and vision.
  • Develop meaningful relationships and collaborative with external resources for community linkage and aftercare planning.
  • Directs Communication with Management and Executives. Establishes and maintains frequent and regular communication with Program Director, Program Coordinator and Operations Director as needed.
  • Report treatment difficulties to supervisor.
  • Collaborates with Mental Health Professional on client and family needs/concerns
  • Identifies and executes on growth opportunities. Ability to acknowledge and establish areas of personal and professional growth in annual evaluations.

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, treatment team members, and other personnel involved in child’s treatment.
  • Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with children, families, and staff from a variety of cultures and social backgrounds.
  • Must have knowledge of various therapy techniques and counseling strategies applicable to serving complex family systems.
  • Must have knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must display professional attitude.
  • Must display empathy, active listening skills, critical thinking/problem solving skills

  • Adheres to HIPAA privacy regulations and Department of Human Services/CASSP principle guidelines.
  • Adheres to Mandated Reporter protocol and effectively communicates concerns with program management.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the treatment team and other service providers to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Displaying Creativity - (Supported by Synergize) - Uses creativity appropriately to drive progress and encourages others to do the same. Makes innovation a priority among team members.
  • Proactively plans for all session to promote an intentionally postured service approach.
  • Independently research creative and relevant interactive therapeutic interventions

Is always courteous to the people we support or customer and considers the needs of the people we support or customer when making decisions.
  • Being available to transport client and/or families in the community, as necessary.
  • Be available to de-escalate/divert hospitalization and/or assist in facilitating a hospitalization if deemed medically necessary.
  • Following Policies and Procedures- Understands and follows company policies; encourages others to follow work rules; calls attention to actions that may violate policies and procedures.
  • Meeting Basic Work Expectations-Complies with basic job requirements and tasks; arrives at work on time as scheduled; proactively informs others when he/she encounters problems that may limit his/her ability to meet expectations.
  • Works collaboratively with treatment team and stakeholders t0 assure all client treatment needs are met.
  • Utilize crisis prevention techniques as deemed appropriate.
  • Document treatment data/results that are clinically relevant on progress notes and submit in a timely manner (within 24 hours of each encounter).
  • Complete client intake paperwork per company/program guidelines and regulations.
  • Complete recurrent assessments and treatment plans within the regulated timeframes.
  • Develops and updates treatment plans for all clients on caseload or as directed.
  • Completes EVS insurance eligibility checks as needed
  • Collaborate with other providers to secure appropriate aftercare/discharge services and community linkages supports during the course of treatment.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and other miscellaneous meetings, as necessary
