Details of Position:
Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders is a very busy private neurology practice, with 20+ providers (Doctors, NP's, PA's). The practice receives 200+ incoming calls per day from patients, vendors, payors, referring offices, etc. This position has access to patient charts to perform their job functions. This position must have an understanding of HIPPA, Section 1557, Interpreter policy, Code of conduct and Fraud.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to answering a multi-line call queue, monitoring wait times, limiting dropped calls, appropriately screening calls prior to transferring to other departments, understanding the proper workflow of clinical inboxes and how to create patient cases accurately, have an understanding of all scheduling policies and accepted insurances, accurately schedule all appointment types and document on all appointments as outlined in scheduling policies, make relevant notes in chart from patient interactions using patient cases, review of and advising patients of balances when scheduling, daily review for openings/cancelations and ensure schedules are filled and appropriatly communicating with senior schedulers regarding provider schedules as needed.
This position is a Monday-Friday, no holidays, no weekends position and the hours currently are 7:45am-4:15pm, but could vary based on the needs of the company.

Education/Experience:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: 2 years of medical office experience
Preferred: Athena Experience
Preferred: Experience in a remote work environment
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver's License
Work From Home Information:
This is a Remote (Work from Home) position. All training for this position is done on site, in Centerville, OH. There will be times where it is necessary to work on site, sometimes unexpectedly. Some examples of this would be if there are technical issues at the work from home location (i.e. wifi issues) the employee will be required to return to the office to complete their work day. Also, some trainings and meetings require the employee to be on site. If employed in this position, a Work From Home Agreement will be required, which requires the employee to return to the office for any reason stated by management. All work from home equipment is provided by Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders. A site visit will be conducted prior to being released to start working from home. This to be sure that the work from home environment is HIPAA compliant, and conducive to being on the phones with patients all day (i.e. quiet, private area designated for work).
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Google Docs.
