Summary: In the Medical Assistant role, you will be responsible for providing responsive customer service as the communicator between the patients and the provider. You will provide clinical and clerical support to Physicians and Mid-Level Providers and assists with exams and in-office procedures.
Direct Patient Care Responsibilities:
Summary: In the Medical Assistant role, you will be responsible for providing responsive customer service as the communicator between the patients and the provider. You will provide clinical and clerical support to Physicians and Mid-Level Providers and assists with exams and in-office procedures.
Direct Patient Care Responsibilities:
- Wear personal protection and safety equipment.
- Administer medications.
- Ensuring completion of appropriate documentation, consent forms, or medical records, and supply patients with forms.
- Assist providers with in-office procedures and prepare patients for exams.
- Triage patient phone calls and obtain accurate information and documentation.
- Obtain accurate vital signs from patient.
- Practice aseptic and sterile techniques to ensure instruments are disinfected and sterilized.
Other Responsibilities:
Requires at least 3 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.

- Demonstrate working knowledge of computer systems and programs.
- Maintain and practice knowledge of OSHA regulations, exposure control plan and principles of infection control and proficiency in equipment usage in assigned departments.
- Complete the relevant portions of the Encounter form using correct CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases).
- Ensure clinical area is stocked for patient care needs.
Requires at least 3 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.
