GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Definition: Working under the supervision of the scheduling lead, clinical supervisor, Practice Manager and physicians, the full time Front office scheduling coordinator is responsible for processing patient after their appointments.


EDUCATION: High school diploma, some college preferred.


EXPERIENCE:.


1. At least three (1) year experience in general office responsibilities and procedures.


REQUIREMENTS:


1. Must have a Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma


2. At least three (1) year experience in general office responsibilities and procedures.


3. Must be computer literate.


4. Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of scheduling.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Computer literate.


2. Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.


ABILITIES:
1. Ability to communicate effectively.


2. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers,


telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.


3. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.


JOB DUTIES:


  • Check in and check out patients, scheduling all needed appointments.
  • Responsible for all incoming scheduling calls.
  • Work on tasks in personal and scheduling box.
  • Responsible for clearing daily voicemails.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Office settings.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Varied activities including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, stooping. Requires eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity. Occasional lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds. Occasional stress from balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
