Description:
The Medical Assistant role will provide professional family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents as delegated by a provider which may include the following duties:
You will rotate between all areas of the clinic:
Front Desk - working at the front desk checking in patients, collecting co-pays, updating insurance, answering the phone, and managing the fax inbox.
Lab - Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by the provider. Collecting samples and preforming laboratory testing. Venipunctures.
Rooming patients - Collecting and documenting information from the patient for the provider, preforming vision/hearing tests, preforming spiromety.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant
Required:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant
High School Diploma
Preferred:
1 year experience in a clinic setting (not required)
Pediatric experience (not required)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Phlebotomy and basic laboratory skills (preferred but not required)
License/Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Communication skills
Ability to solve routine issues that may come up in the clinic
Collaborative and ability to work in team environment
Multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
