Job Summary


As the Facility Mechanical HVAC Technician, you will work closely with Building Automation and Maintenance in keeping all mechanical systems online. Your work can range from preventative maintenance to in house small project management / performance. In addition, there will be a wide range of outsourced mechanical contractors to help manage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, modify and repair all HVAC, plumbing systems, and associated mechanical equipment
  • Inspect and test components of facilities HVAC systems, including AHUs/RTUs, Chillers, Compressors, and VAVs
  • Complete work orders, record activity, and material used into facility maintenance software
  • Help run building automation control & network cables as needed.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Survey HVAC systems, process piping and plans to provide "as built" information to facility documentation management
  • Participate in collaborative meetings regarding new building / large renovation projects for HVAC requirements
  • Oversee and coordinate activities with mechanical contractors as needed
  • Provide mechanical consultation to facility maintenance, logistics, production teams as needed

Must-Have Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Completed apprentice program preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in HVAC / Plumbing / Sheet metal trade.
  • Ability to read, use, and maintain mechanical drawings.

  • Handle extreme temperatures.
  • Speak and understand English to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Have above average math and statistical analytical skills
