Mechanical Assembly Technician (Full-Time)

Pay Range: $16-$20/hour

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in mechanical and electrical assembly build experience. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position. This position reports directly to the Assembly Lead.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation
  • Inspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools. Micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Lead and instruct others in proper assembly of various mechanical assemblies
  • Maintain proper project documentation
  • Responsible for all duties required for teardown and crating of equipment for shipment
  • Maintain a photo/video library of all builds in an organized manner
  • Track day to day added value operations needed internally
  • Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be
  • Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Weiss North America
  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed

Desired Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of mechancial and/or electeical assembly experience
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Well organized with an aptitude for details
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
  • Experience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools
  • Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance
  • Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments
  • Machining and electrical experience and knowledge is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
