Math Teacher (PT) Job at Eye Level
Eye Level is looking to hire a Math tutor/instructor for our Learning Centers in
Frisco.
Eye Level Learning Center Frisco East and
Frisco Central Learning Centers are dynamic after-school enrichment learning centers, we are seeking an experienced Math tutor/instructor to tutor students from grades pre-K to 10. All teaching materials are provided. The Math instructor will work with students in an individual or small group setting. Must be flexible with changes in setting and time. This is a part-time, year-round position.
Requirements:
- College students who are planning to pursue teaching as their career or should have at least completed 20 units.
- Montessori experience or certification are welcome to apply.
- Excellent communication skills with adults and children.
- Sense of responsibility.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and willingness to work with children.
- Hours can be discussed in the interview (a minimum of 15-20 hours/week).
- Proficient knowledge in Reading and Writing – all candidates will be tested in Math, Reading, and Writing, prior to the interview.
- Just retired ISD teachers are welcome to apply.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Center policy.
- Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)
- Discuss with the Director of students’ progress after every session or end of the business day.
- Personnel (instructor, center assistant) management.
- May start off with grading booklets, in the beginning, to become familiar with the program.
