We are currently seeking an experienced Material Plannerto be responsible for the scheduling of production builds, outside processing and trucking requirements to meet customer releases with 100% on time delivery. Customers consist of Magna, JCI Lansing, GM MGO, Northwood, Argentina, and Riverside. Our Michigan locations include Sterling Heights, St. Clair Shores, and Troy.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Schedule production builds
  • Schedule and monitor all outside processing
  • Coordinate and schedule all trucking requirements
  • Access, review and monitor all EDI customer releases/requirements
  • Manage all sort and rework processes
  • Maintain Plex system with part numbers and standard pack setup
  • Schedule and manage all cycle counts
  • Set-up and communicate service requirements to the production floor and Stellantis contacts
  • Responsible for planning function for Stellantis JL Program
  • Serve as a back-up for Planning Group
  • Create job expedited jobs to assist with flow sub-components
  • Adjust and communicate Floor Activity (Dispatch)
  • Serve as liaison to customers and supply base
  • Arrange, guide, and direct logistics to customers and outside normal supply base set-up
  • Monitor EDI functions, correct and analyze data for customers/suppliers
  • Support data discrepancies and provide support to customers/suppliers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in materials with an automotive manufacturer
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Working knowledge of routings and bill of materials
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including Customers and Suppliers
  • Working knowledge of MRP

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
