Overall Purpose and Objective

This position is responsible for designing and administering marketing research functions supporting sales, product development, strategic planning and IGT customers. These functions include market segmentation, product testing, primary research, and in-depth retailer analysis including terminal placement strategies, advertising/promotions and trade-style/key account reviews. This individual performs a wide range of duties in support of these objectives including development of software tools, presentations, survey and research project design and implementation and other research functions as assigned. This position is also responsible for designing and implementing training programs for Lottery personnel as required by contract.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Instant Ticket Product Manager and Account Team on researching instant ticket sales for assigned jurisdiction; uses data to help determine strategic planning for games and recommendations.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for market research support projects as directed.
  • Designs and administers complex analyses for retailer distribution and placement, sales performance, market segmentation and advertising/promotion strategies.
  • Designs and oversees test marketing sessions to test new products and concepts.
  • Assists in the development of strategic business plans through trend analysis, competitive research, primary research and industry tracking.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to customers and staff to solicit and present research requirements and findings.
  • Conducts analysis of internal IGT operations, including cost-benefit relationships, to support strategic planning and optimization of site operations.
  • Update Tel-Sell Procedures Handbook and coordinate the inclusion of Warehouse and Marketing procedures.

Qualifications

  • BA required, MBA preferred, plus 3 years’ marketing experience.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills required with an established proficiency in a sales database and Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
