Position Description: At Iron Mountain Hot Springs & Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, we care deeply about our relationship within the community — and that’s exactly why we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator.

In this position you will be responsible for fostering positive relations within the community, specifically through partnerships with hotels, chambers, visitor centers, and tour operators. You’ll be a member of the Marketing & Sales team reporting to the Marketing Manager. This role will also lead event coordination efforts between marketing and operations teams. Work with marketing manager to update and develop marketing materials, printed materials, email communications, and website updates. The marketing team is responsible for generating brand awareness, increasing sales, and promoting both Iron Mountain Hot Springs & Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain good partner relationship with hotels, chambers, visitor centers, tour operators and brochure distributors by frequent visits. Encourage on-site visits to experience the park.

· Coordinate hotel partner program and generate new business through awareness of Iron Mountain Hot Springs & Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park offerings. Target business in Colorado and beyond.

· Monitor brochure racks at all locations and coordinate brochure distributor agreements and stocking.

· Enter leads, accounts, contacts, activities, and opportunities into Salesforce, maintaining current and correct information.

· Coordinate event meetings to ensure events are a success at Glenwood Caverns Adventure park.

· Ensure both marketing and operational event goals are achieved.

· Work with marketing manager to update and develop marketing materials, printed materials, email communications, and website updates.

· Run monthly reports and track metrics for effectiveness of community relations program.

· Secure commitments for park events from our sponsors, create sponsorship packets and assure benefits are met. Invoice sponsors and oversee collection.

· Work with Marketing Manager to update and develop marketing materials including programs, posters, and website. Ensure that materials are in correct positions throughout town.

· Work with Chambers to renew memberships and ensure we are using their benefits to the fullest. Attend after-hours Chamber events.

· Create emails for events

· Website Updates

· Passport System updates

· Secure commitments from sponsors for events & manage sponsorship program

· Work with chambers on events, emails and content

· Organize Fam tours

· Be present and check in group events

· Donation requests (almost daily)

· Assist with public relations and other external communications as needed.

· Organize and communicate FAM tours and special events on a seasonal basis.

· Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.

· Support Marketing Manager and complete other duties as they are assigned.

· Support Group Sales and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park events, this may require work on weekends.

Qualifications:

· Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

· Strong, verbal and written communication skills

· 2-3 years’ experience in marketing, sales, and/or communications

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or communication a plus

· Experience using Salesforce, Wordpress, and/or Siriusware a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
