We have one opening for finisher, but are flexible for if this position will be on 2nd or 3rd shift. Shifts are:

2nd Shift - 4P to 12A
3rd Shift - 12A to 4P

In this role, you will be responsible for finishing and preparing flexographic sleeves for shipment to fulfill orders from flexographic printing facilities. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for ensuring that all sleeves meet quality and production standards.

What you can expect as a Grinder Operator Trainee:

Safety and training are of the highest importance to us. Your first 5-6 weeks of work will be training with an experienced finisher, taking care to learn the processes and how to operate safely as well as efficiently.

Once trained, the Finisher is responsible for high levels of accuracy, following detailed flow sheet instructions. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Finish and prepare flexographic sleeves for shipment and use on customer printing presses
• Trim and shape sleeves to the required size and shape
• Install sleeves on the printing press cylinders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with inventory management and order fulfillment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with sleeves in real time with input from Shift Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

All hourly employees receive pay on a weekly basis, as well as 40-minutes of paid break time per 8-hour shift worked.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, experience working with flexographic sleeves preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet production deadlines
• Willingness to learn new machines and other operations related to the manufacturing industry
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility in performing day to day tasks as well as to work various shifts and overtime as needed
• Team-player
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch for long periods of time with our without assistance
• Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs on their own, up to 200 lbs with team lift and use of mechanical hoist
• Experience operating and maintaining production equipment
