Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking an Operations Staffing Manager to lead Field Recruiting efforts for the St. Louis, MO site. This leader will be responsible for the Site Operations pipeline strategy development and execution in partnership with Global Talent Acquisition, Workforce Strategy, Operations, Stakeholders, and Executive Leadership. The Operations Staffing Manager will work with Program First Line Leaders and Senior Management to plan, forecast and deliver metrics in order to achieve site staffing and business operation objectives.

As a leader of this site, you will continuously develop maintain positive relationships with multi-function team leaders and drive a deep understanding of the critical hiring needs as they relate to production health and growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct interviews for multiple skill codes in-person and virtually for the St. Louis site
  • Partner with Global Talent Acquisition to perform job application reviews
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct outreach and attend recruiting events
  • Integrate social media and traditional media outreach, marketing and advertising tools and capabilities to support and amplify recruiting events and outreach engagements
  • Partner with hiring managers to build comprehensive sourcing plans, clarify required job skills and competencies, and use the best selection strategies and techniques for each job
  • Drive the execution of the BDS Veteran Recruiting strategy in alignment with Global Talent Acquisition to attract military personnel transitioning from active duty to civilian careers
  • Coordinates recruiting activities and events with community agencies, veteran associations, military bases, job fairs, and tech schools to attract qualified candidates
  • Build and maintain a diverse portfolio of outreach focals (community engagement, technical schools, etc). to build site pipeline of candidates
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and changing environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Willing and able to travel domestically 40% of the time (either by car or plane)
  • 3+ years of experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing requirements to develop action plans and facilitate implementation efforts
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Able to communicate both orally and written in a clear, concise and effective manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Military experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with workforce planning, staffing, recruitment, and people management
  • Ability to use facilitation techniques to draw people and their ideas out and to connect them with other people in a way that leads to positive outcomes
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
