Job Title: Production Manager (Off Shift) for Extrusion Company

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our extrusion company. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring that it runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. The successful candidate will be a “POSITIVE” role model to all employees at all times, ultimately accountable for their department’s attitude & perception towards the workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing the production process on all shifts of extrusion production.
• Ensuring that production targets are met or exceeded while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
• Developing and implementing production schedules and ensuring they are followed.
• Supervising and training production staff to ensure they are fully equipped to carry out their responsibilities.
• Ensure Pre-Start Ups, Daily Production Reports, Operator Checks, QC Checks, and other necessary production paperwork must be completed on time and correctly 100% of the time.
• Coordinating with other departments such as maintenance, quality control, and logistics to ensure that the production process runs smoothly.
• Analyzing production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Communicating with other managers and executives to ensure that production targets align with overall company goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, Technical degree, or equivalent years of experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in an extrusion or plastics manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 3-5 years in a Manufacturing leadership role
• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Strong problem-solving skills

This is an off-shift position, so the ability to work nights is required.
