The company has the ability to support the entire engine life cycle: development, maturity and legacy by leveraging on concurrent engineering, lean manufacturing, supply chain management and control.

New England Airfoil Products is looking for a high potential manufacturing engineer to join our team in this period of growth. Our manufacturing engineers are responsible for both the development of manufacturing process for new product and improvement of existing product lines.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Own manufacturing process development from creation of OP sheets, working with CAM Programmers and operators in development of machining process, movement of hardware through any outside services and working with Quality Engineers for final inspection.
  • Work closely with Sales Manager to review new opportunities and help Bid Engineer develop quotes for those opportunities
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Managers to provide direction to operators during development phases, transition to production and process improvements
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, establish both a baseline for those opportunities and project improvement to the baseline. Lead improvement projects through execution, realization of benefits and final documentation
  • Proactively apply Six Sigma philosophies to ensure well thought out problem statements and project execution plans
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of engineering processes and work instructions
  • Support research and acquisition of machines to improve capacity and capability of manufacturing operations
  • Working in a high pressure environment to deliver hardware for rigs, demos and small quantity production runs

Qualifications ·

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a manufacturing engineer
  • Minimum 3-5 years in the aerospace field
  • Bachelors degree in related engineering field
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Familiarity with NX CAD software
  • Knowledge of CNC machine operations
  • Track record of leadership in multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

  • Airfoil manufacturing experience
  • Mentoring or supervisory of junior engineers
