Manufacturing Calibration Technician Job at AMETEK, Inc.
The Manufacturing / Calibration Technician is responsible for the day-to-day assembly and / or calibration of Spectro Scientific instruments. The successful candidate must independently coordinate the order and priority of instruments to be calibrated / assembled based on current open sales order lists and / or production schedules. This person will also become the process owner and will cross-train others as required. This person will document manufacturing / calibration results and will work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues that may arise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Hands-On calibration / assembly technician responsible for the forward production flow of all Spectro Scientific systems spanning the entire product line.
- Manage the workflow as assigned in conjunction with the production schedule
- Cross Training of additional technician resources as required
- Process ownership for assembly / calibration and quality output.
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to the Manufacturing Engineering and Sustaining Engineering groups for collective analysis and trend identification
Qualifications & Requirements
- Five or more Years in a hi-Technology Environment with experience building/testing and debugging complex E/M products and sub- assemblies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with debugging techniques and associated tools.
- Must have demonstrated ability to read and follow assembly and test procedures.
- Microsoft Office tools expertise [Excel]
- Must have effective cross functional communications skills
- Soldering Skills
- Familiar with manufacturing assembly tools and techniques.
- PC skills are essential.
