Position Summary:

The Manager – Market Pay Insights and Analytics is responsible for providing market insights and analytics to compensation partners and key business stakeholders. This work includes extensive and ongoing research of industry trends and regular analysis of how current pay programs compare to the external marketplace. This position will own and manage relevant reporting and dashboards and will work with Compensation, Analytics and HR leaders to provide targeted data to the business in order to make informed decisions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing research to stay current on market trends, including high labor markets and industry trends. Maintain ongoing interaction with field leadership, HR and Recruiting on market trends and volatility.
  • Plan, implement and maintain compensation dashboards. Provide regular updates to leadership on recurring compensation data points. Provide ad hoc reporting on compensation metrics as needed.
  • Manage the annual survey participation, purchase and update process. Maintain the salary survey budget and make recommendations for survey participation. Own the processes, updates and reporting in the salary survey database.
  • Provide regular updates to department leadership on market trends and analysis. Devise and prepare recommendations for compensation strategy or policy updates based on market insights.
  • Ensure market competitiveness by conducting market research, utilizing knowledge of pay market and trends to conduct regular and frequent analysis of Penske’s wages and pay methodology.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Finance required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • CCP Certification or willingness to obtain
  • PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
  • 6 years of compensation experience required, preferably in a multi-stat environment
  • Knowledge of the principles of compensation management/strategy
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Knowledge of compensation systems, preferably Oracle, MarketPay, and ERI
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills accomplished in a clear, consistent manner.
  • Presentation skills, in-person and remote to educate others on compensation initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to create/recommend solutions that are compliant/within guidelines and support the goals/needs of the business.
  • Provide compensation consultation and/or be influential to all levels of management, including senior leadership.
  • High-level of personal integrity including keeping highly sensitive information confidential.
  • Interest and motivation for personal and professional development. This includes keeping up to date on changing regulations and ensuring certifications are current and in good standing.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
