Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and as needed analyses for internal management reporting. Analyses are utilized by other functions as well, such as External Reporting and Tax. The role manages and/or relies on personnel in Houston and internationally, and is responsible for driving efficiency in internal reporting through the use of OneStream, Power BI, Microsoft Office applications or similar tools while working with Operations Controllers to identify and streamline reporting required for both consolidated and operational needs. The role assists with internal and external audit requests and may have exposure to executive management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance (with experience in accounting) required
  • CPA heavily preferred but not required
  • Understand and apply GAAP and SEC guidelines
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting
  • One to 3 years direct experience in preparing management reporting analyses in a corporate environment
  • Experience with analyzing financial information in a multi-national environment
  • Ability to summarize detail, prepared and communicate information in concise ways that are easily understood by specific audiences (e.g., legal, tax, treasury, operations)
  • Ability to be detail orientated while maintain focus on the larger picture, goals and objectives
  • Ability to drive the function to be efficient, accurate and timely
  • Demonstrates positive, teamwork attitude while owning assigned function and influencing others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Firm understanding about how to leverage reporting tools and automation
  • Knowledge of major integrated systems - preferably some or all: SAP, IFS, OneStream
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, HFM and IFRS preferred but not required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide management with accurate and timely consolidated and disaggregated financial information
  • Responsible for standardized periodic reporting (e.g., rig statements, revenue and cost analytics)
  • Assess available tools to proactively develop efficient and effective end-state solutions
  • Coordinate process and reporting changes with operations accounting and other functions
  • Coordinate with overseas shared-service personnel, previous experience in an organization with shared-services model a plus
  • Participate in month-end close process, as applicable to the function
  • Manage internal controls relative to the function
  • Provide reports/audit schedules as requested by other departments (e.g., External Reporting)
  • Prepare audit schedules and respond to inquiries by external and internal auditors
  • Assist in the preparation of the management’s discussion analysis section of the 10-Q and 10-K
  • Maintain effective and regular communication with managers and other functions
  • Maintain a service-oriented attitude with other functions end-users
  • Develop team members and maintain positive teamwork environment
  • Other duties as assigned
