Job description
The Manager in Training will work to understand all branch operations, profit and loss, and inventory. The training and development of branch associates will also be the responsibility of the Branch MIT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating operations coverage for your assigned branch.
- Participates in overseeing and executing all daily branch operations.
- Proven desire to train, supervise, and motivate counter/warehouse associates
- Gain experience in order entry, inventory, warranty and reference materials/tools.
- Familiarize self with company policies and guidelines to ensure compliance
- All other duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional customer service skills, communication skills, delegation & follow-up
- Analytical mind with strong math skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills
- P & L experience (not required)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of HVAC experience, either in the field or behind a counter
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
Physical Demands
- Able to lift 50 pounds, load/unload trucks
- Able to climb up and down a ladder as high as 15ft carrying up to 50lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time –can be up to 8 hours at a time
Schedule
- Full Time Monday through Friday
- Rotating Saturdays
- Shift is based on business needs
High school diploma or equivalent required
Two years of HVAC experience, either in the field or behind a counter
Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
