Eaton’s VEH NAT North America Truck is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician Night Shift . This position is based at the Kings Mountain, NC location. The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining plant equipment and supporting the achievement of the plant’s business goals and objectives. The hourly rate for this position is $21.42 - $32.33 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:
- Replace filters, pumps, valves, seals, cylinders, motors, hoses, etc.
- Comprehend electric/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to rebuild/repair equipment.
- Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals.
- Maintain an accurate parts inventory system
- Maintains work area 6S and assists in department/team housekeeping efforts
- Reports unusual conditions, safety issues, or defective materials to coach
- Trains and continually updates skills to adapt to new machinery and technology
- Willingness and ability to troubleshoot and repair Fanuc robot and controls, NC/CNC equipment, and PLC & drive systems
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years electrical/automation and mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to read and understand electric/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints in support of rebuild/repair of equipment.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of South Bend, IN will be considered for this position.
- Prior experience with Siemens/Fanuc NC systems and Allen Bradley PLC a plus.
- Experience with predictive maintenance such as infrared, ultrasound technologies a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
- Professional presence, good communication skills, etc.
Skills:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb.
