Monson Trelleborg is currently looking for a motivated, team-oriented individual to join our team! We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This position will work and train on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday-Friday) then switch to 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 2:00 AM Monday-Friday) when fully trained.

Job Description:

  • Preventive maintenance of production machines and all auxiliary support equipment.
  • Operation and maintenance of all boilers and thermal fluid heaters.
  • Operation and maintenance of pollution control equipment and heat recovery devices.
  • Groundwork including snow removal.
  • Preventive maintenance of fork trucks, material handling equipment, and over-the-road trucks.
  • Ensures that a safe, clean, and healthy work environment is always maintained.
  • Optimize and implement control methods including hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking equipment
  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial plant utility systems including condensate, chilled water, hot oil, HVAC and exhaust, compressed air, power, and other systems
  • Understand control philosophy and write functional requirement specifications based on expected functionality including description of control loops, interlocks, and alarms
  • Design and implement motor schematics and electrical one-line diagrams
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment modification as well as equipment failures
  • Assist with daily routine maintenance
  • Train other team members on electrical equipment when opportunities are present or required
  • Capable of operating environmental control systems
  • Conducts visual system inspections and monitors system operations/processes to ensure proper operations and to detect equipment failures, potential leaks, or other problem situations
  • Reports maintenance needs to appropriate personnel
  • Performs preventative maintenance check and procedures on system equipment
  • Exchanging information with staff of adjoining work shifts to keep abreast of current operating conditions or problem situations
  • Maintains a comprehensive, current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws/regulations; maintains an awareness of new trends and advances in the profession; attends a workshops and training sessions as appropriate

  • Is available for after-hours troubleshooting and repairs of all equipment

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of ten years in industrial maintenance/engineering environment
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers' license required
  • Pre-employment Physical, Drug & Background Screening required. We are a drug free workplace with random drug testing.
  • Minimum of ten years in industrial maintenance/engineering environment
  • Some plumbing/electrical/carpentry/fabricating knowledge
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
