Russo Property Management is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong background in multi-family residential maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for common area and apartment repairs in the scope of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliances. The Maintenance Technician handles all aspects of the property's maintenance including the physical grounds, ensuring curb appeal through interior and exterior building inspections, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

This candidate chosen for this position will be based out of our luxurious property at Harrison, NJ

Position Responsibilities:

• Efficiently complete all daily work orders within 24 hours. Communicate any delays in completing a work order with the supervisor and management office.
• Troubleshoot repair and maintenance issues involving electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances and carpentry.
• Work with leasing staff team to ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, building mechanicals, service requests and apartment make- ready status.
• Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
• Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards.
• Assist with trash removal. Maintain trash rooms and dumpster areas.
• Assist in the proper clearing of snow during a snow event.
• Coordinate proper workshop inventory with maintenance supervisor.
• Other special projects or assignments as requested by management.

• High School or GED education
• 2-3 years of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or related field.
• Must possess a clean driving record and personal, reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and snow removal.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
• Professional, courteous and friendly demeanor.
• Proactive self-starter and a team-player.
• Must be available for weekend inspections, and weekday evening resident meetings, as necessary.
• Must be available to respond to emergencies at the property.
