MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (1ST SHIFT) Job at Olympic Steel
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all aspects of building maintenance, repairs, and improvements. The Supervisor will appropriately delegate maintenance staff, conducting the work independently as needed. This person will also be an important part of the maintenance program process, including but not limited to implementing new software, creating new programs, hiring personnel and adopting more efficient processes. This person will be heavily relied on for preventative maintenance and safety, ensuring tasks are performed in a safe, environmentally conscious and timely manner. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with Purchasing and Operations to organize and maintain preventative maintenance requirements, scheduling and material.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor or Associate Degree in related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a steel service center or related manufacturing environment.
- Previous implementation of preventative maintenance program.
- Ability to drive future maintenance strategies.
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems (including, but not limited to programmable logic controllers, solid state motor drives, overhead traveling cranes and hydraulic circuits)
- Working knowledge of the following: CNC mills, Welding, Laser Cutters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management systems
- Machine, safety or other related manufacturing certifications also a plus.
- Must be able to work any overtime needed, and be on-call 24/7.
- Familiarity of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics concepts.
