Performs the daily activities required to maintain safe, effective, and efficient manufacturing operations (greasing, replacing bearings, rolls and other parts). Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production and support equipment and facilities.
We are looking for a mechanically minded person that can fix just about anything if they put their mind to it. Welding, PLC, and manual machining work (lathes, drill press, milling machine) experience would be great.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, operate, and maintain mechanical components.
- Assist management with specifying needed repair parts and supplies.
- Effectively communicate with management regarding mechanical and electrical issues and needed technical support.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues throughout the facility and make needed repairs. Effectively communicate with management if additional resources are needed to resolve the issue.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on time and in the prescribed manner.
- Safely and effectively operate Powered Industrial Trucks, scissors lifts, and boom lifts as required.
- Maintain safe working conditions and work safely at all times.
- Maintain housekeeping.
